Limited Warranty Coverage

Protexa Paint Protection Films are warranted against manufacturing defects when installed by an authorized installer according to recommended installation procedures. Under normal automotive use and proper care, the film is warranted against the following conditions:

  • Yellowing or discoloration
  • Cracking
  • Peeling or delamination
  • Bubbling
  • Adhesive failure
  • Loss of clarity or transparency

If any of the above conditions occur during the warranty period, the authorized installer will replace the defective film on the affected area.

Warranty Eligibility

This warranty applies only if:

  • The film is installed by an authorized dealer or certified installer
  • The installation is performed according to the guidelines
  • The vehicle owner possesses the original installation invoice or warranty card
  • The film is used under normal automotive conditions

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Accidents or collision
  • Stone chips or road debris impact
  • Improper installation by unauthorized installers
  • Improper washing or maintenance
  • Use of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners
  • Damage from pressure washing too closely
  • Scratches caused by external objects
  • Intentional damage or misuse
  • Vehicle repainting or body repair after installation
  • Normal wear and tear

Coating materials like ceramic, Teflon, wax, etc.

The degradation of materials with time due to climatic conditions is a natural and unavoidable phenomenon. A slight and progressive change of the transparency and brightness, as well as slight peeling off at the edges and around the rivets are normal which do not fall under the scope of warranty.

Note: Paint protection film is designed to reduce damage from debris but cannot prevent all paint damage under severe impact conditions.

Limitation of Liability & Transferability

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited solely to:

  • Replacement of the defective film
  • Reinstallation of the film on the affected area

We shall not be responsible for:

  • Paint damage beneath the film
  • Loss of vehicle use
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Warranty Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the vehicle and is generally non-transferable, unless otherwise specified.

Paint Protection Film Care Instructions

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and appearance of the paint protection film.

Immediately After Installation

  • Do not wash the vehicle for 7 days after installation.
  • Avoid touching the edges of the film during the curing period.
  • Small bubbles or moisture pockets may appear initially and typically disappear within 2–4 weeks.

Washing Guidelines

Avoid

  • Automatic car washes with harsh brushes
  • Harsh chemicals or solvents
  • Abrasive polishing compounds on film edges

Pressure Washing

Pressure washing is permitted if done correctly:

  • Maintain at least 60–90 cm distance
  • Avoid directing the jet at film edges
  • Use moderate pressure only

Stain and Contaminant Removal

Remove contaminants as soon as possible to prevent staining such as: Bird droppings, Tree sap, Bug splatter, Road tar.

Use:

  • Mild automotive cleaner
  • Isopropyl alcohol diluted with water if necessary

Additional Care Recommendations

  • Avoid waxing film edges aggressively.
  • Do not use abrasive clay bars unless approved for PPF.
  • Ceramic coatings may be applied if compatible with the film.
  • Avoid placing stickers directly on the film.

Important Notes

  • PPF is designed to protect paint but cannot prevent all types of damage, especially heavy impacts.
  • Regular washing and maintenance will help maintain clarity and performance.
  • Paint condition prior to installation may affect film appearance.
