Limited Warranty Coverage
Protexa TPU Windshield Protection Film is warranted against manufacturing defects when installed by an authorized installer following recommended installation procedures. Under normal automotive use and proper maintenance, the film is warranted against the following defects:
- Discoloration
- Cracking or crazing
- Delamination
- Bubbling caused by adhesive failure
If any of these defects occur during the warranty period, the manufacturer or authorized installer will replace the defective film on the affected windshield area.
Warranty Eligibility
This warranty applies only if:
- The film is installed by an authorized or professional installer
- The installation follows manufacturer guidelines
- The vehicle owner retains proof of purchase or warranty card
- The film is used under normal automotive driving conditions
If the defect is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, the defective film will be removed and replaced on the affected windshield area.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Stone chips, road debris, or heavy impact
- Scratches caused by windshield wipers
- Damage from worn or damaged wiper blades
- Improper installation by unauthorized installers
- Improper maintenance or cleaning methods
- Use of harsh chemicals or abrasive materials
- Pressure washing directly at film edges
- Accidents, vandalism, or collision
- Damage caused by windshield replacement
Limitation of Liability & Transferability
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited solely to:
- Replacement of the defective film
- Reinstallation of the film on the windshield
We shall not be liable for:
- Glass breakage
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of vehicle use or downtime
Warranty Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the vehicle and is generally non-transferable.
Windshield Protection Film Care Instructions
Proper care ensures optimal clarity, durability, and performance of the windshield protection film.
Immediately After Installation
- Do not wash the vehicle for 48 hours after installation.
- Avoid using windshield wipers for 24 hours.
- Some minor haze or moisture pockets may appear during curing and typically disappear within 1–2 weeks.
Cleaning Instructions
Recommended
- Clean with mild automotive glass cleaner (ammonia-free)
- Use a soft microfiber cloth
- Wipe gently to avoid scratching the film
Avoid
- Abrasive cleaning pads
- Harsh chemicals or solvents
- Razor blades or scrapers
Windshield Wiper Care
- Always keep wiper blades clean and in good condition.
- Replace worn or hardened wiper blades regularly.
- Dirty or damaged wipers can scratch the film surface.
Pressure Washing
Pressure washing is permitted with the following precautions:
- Maintain at least 60 cm distance from the windshield
- Avoid directing high pressure directly at film edges
- Use moderate pressure only
Environmental Contaminants
Remove the following contaminants promptly to avoid staining or damage: Bird droppings, Tree sap, Bug splatter, Road tar.
Use mild automotive cleaners if necessary.
Additional Care Tips
- Avoid parking under heavy construction areas where debris may strike the windshield.
- Do not place stickers or suction mounts directly on the film.
- Avoid scraping ice directly from the film surface during winter.
Important Notes
- Windshield protection film is designed to reduce damage from road debris and minor impacts, but it cannot prevent all types of windshield damage.
- Over time, normal wear from road debris and wiper movement may reduce the optical clarity of the film.
- Replacement may be recommended periodically to maintain optimal visibility and protection.
