Limited Warranty Coverage
SolarShield Automotive Window Films are warranted against manufacturing defects when professionally installed on automotive glass surfaces according to recommended installation procedures. Subject to the terms and conditions below, the film is warranted against the following defects during the warranty period:
- Bubbling or blistering
- Peeling or delamination
- Cracking or crazing
- Adhesive failure
- Discoloration or abnormal color change (such as purple fading)
If any of the above defects occur during the warranty period, the manufacturer or authorized dealer will replace the defective film and provide reinstallation.
Warranty Eligibility
This warranty applies only if:
- The film is installed by an authorized dealer or professional installer
- The original purchaser owns the vehicle
- Proof of purchase and warranty registration are available
- The product has been used under normal automotive conditions
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Improper installation by unauthorized installers
- Physical damage (scratches, cuts, impact from objects)
- Use of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning materials
- Damage caused by accident, vandalism, or misuse
- Normal wear and tear
- Glass breakage
- Damage caused by removing or replacing the vehicle glass
- Installation on unsuitable glass types
Limitation of Liability & Transferability
Limitation of Liability
The liability is limited to the replacement of the defective film. We shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Consequential damages
- Loss of vehicle use
- Any costs beyond film replacement and reinstallation.
Warranty Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the vehicle.
Automotive Window Film Care Instructions
To ensure maximum performance and longevity of your window film, please follow the care guidelines below.
Immediately After Installation
- Do not roll down the windows for 1 day after installation.
- Some haze, water bubbles, or streaks may appear during curing.
- The film usually cures completely within 2 weeks depending on weather conditions.
Cleaning Instructions
When cleaning tinted windows:
Recommended
- Use a soft microfiber cloth
- Use mild soap and water solution
- Clean gently without excessive pressure
- When cleaning, wipe in gentle vertical motions
Avoid
- Ammonia-based cleaners
- Abrasive pads or brushes
- Industrial-strength chemicals
- Scrapers or sharp tools
- Scratching the film with keys, rings, or sharp objects
- Avoid adhesive stickers on tinted glass
Important Notes
- Slight optical distortion or minor water bubbles immediately after installation are normal during curing.
- Warranty covers manufacturing defects only, not installation damage or misuse.
- If the vehicle glass is replaced, the window film must also be reinstalled and is not covered under warranty.
